Fuerteventura en Musica 2009 - More than music!

We added some flavour to the music festival in El Cotillo on Fuerteventura. Guests like Alpha Blondy played on the stage and we invited them to watch the COP clips on huge screens.

.

Check out these movies, we made them during the festival in El Cotillo. They are small but they come with a big message. Thankfully the Cabildo of Fuerteventura worked with us! We will be back next year with other ideas to invite people to take care about their environment.

Tarifa, Spain . 12.07.2009

We visit Tarifa in the south of Spain a couple of weeks ago. And did we not thought that it might need a Cleanoceanproject. See for yourself!

A very intresting mixture of people helped us on that day to take a way 3000 kg of all kind of trash! We had to bring up the stuff on our own so we started a human chain. Fortunately the goverment removed all the rubbish properly on this very nice remote beach in Tarifa. Thanks to all of you!

SURFSPIRO and the COP in Famara, Lanzarote!

In cooporation with the Cabildo of Lanzarote and the social project SURFSPIRO we cleaned the beach in Famara.

First of all we want to thank the people of SURFSPIRO and the young people. Without them nothing would have happend. They prepared the cleaning in the north of the island! Great work. SURFSPIRO is a social project to support young children and we hope we can organize another event with them in the near future. It was good fun and we want to thank all the people who have been together with us that day.

International Surfing Day . 21.06.2009 . Switzerland

In Switzerland we also clean our beaches!
The International Surfing Day was a good excuse to clean our environment. Force Line Surfboards together with the Swiss Surfing Association organized the 21st of June the cleaning of the beach at the Reuss. Even if the place looks clean you can always collect some trash. It was a tipical swiss summer day at the standing wave, a little bit of rain, a little bit of sun, surf n’ grill and above all, good vibrations.

When the crew at the International Surfing Day contact me, they said that this event is all over the world, that people surf and commemorate surfing. I was then thinking on how egoist we are sometimes. Just thinking on our pleasure as surfers, that the only thing that really matters is our next wave. That we enjoy the surrounding ,the ride, the way the surfboard cuts the wave as we ride it. But how about doing something for the surf spot that we enjoy and love. A beach clean up, to get rid of all those Pet bottles, glass, plastic, cigarette butts and trash that plague our backyard, and how surprising all the other surfers that I contacted and told about the clean up immediately said, that they were coming and helping to get the job done. Needless to say, the event was a great get together were all involved collect the trash and on the end we surfed together. What a beautiful day.
Good waves Daniel Paez

Buenas olas, Daniel Paez
